Triffid and Lagoon Nebulas

An image showing both the Triffid (M20) and Lagoon (M8) nebula's and surrounding star field.

I'm quite happy with how this image turned out. The focus is a bit soft but that's not particularly evident at the size on my website here, only becoming obvious at 70% raw size.

I'm quite impressed with what the Canon 350D has picked up in 3 minute exposures with this image. The contrast in colours and detail in the nebulas has surprised me in particular.
