A photograph of the Rho Ophiuchi nebula which is situation in scorpius near Antares.

I'm very happy with this image considering it's taken with an un-modified DSLR. I'm quite surprised at the level of nebulosity achieved with the camera in 3 minute exposures. The colours are vibrant and smooth (I think).

There is some edge distoration, of rotation appearance, which is caused by the William Optics Field-flatenner v3 over-correcting the field flatness. I have yet to find a solution to this, other than to buy a Tak.

Camera:Canon 350D un-modified
Lens/Telescope:William Optics Megrez 90 APO
Focal Length:Approx. 500mm
Aperture:F/5.95
Exposure Time:22 x 3 minutes combined with an average
ISO:800
