This is a colour (LRGB) image of the well known galaxy M83.

I don't often take LRGB images so I'm sure there's plenty of problems with this, inclding the fact that I have not accurately calibrated the colours to make sure I have a correct representation. That is probably why the stars look slightly yellow. Overall I was reasonably happy with the colours it ended up however.

Procesing was done mosty in CCDSoft, including combining of the LRGB. Levels and touch-up then done in Photoshop.

There is trailing in the stars, caused more by my lack of effort put into the shot than anything. I should re-train my PEC, and I should re-calibrate my autoguider.

I took the shot just as a background task while tweaking some parameters on my Project NGC script setup.

Oneo ther thing, you can see a green line through the galaxy to the top right of the core. It looks to me like a minor planet moving across the foreground during one of the green exposures.
