ASWA Tammin Site - March 2010

Description:  Some nice clouds around the ASWA Tammin site in March 2010, with the foreground field lit up nicely.

It had been a long hot dry summer this year, with no rain that we know of at the site, certainly no evidence of it. So the field is very brown and dry, but at least there's no weeds!

I like the combination of nice rich colours, interesting clouds, and the wonderful wide open space of the wheatbelt in photographs like this. The peacefulness of the landscape combined with the specatcular panoramics are a large part of the reason I enjoy travelling to the wheatbelt.

This is a web site of photography and astronomy, by Roger Groom in Western Australia. Photographic subjects include Pemberton, Dryandra Woodland Karri Forest, Cape Leeuwin, Ocean Landscapes, Kings Park, El Questro and Emma Gorge, and much more landscape photography.
Astrophotography subjects include The Milky Way, Large Magellanic Cloud, Small Magellanic Cloud, Orion Nebula, Saucepan Constellation, Southern Cross, Southern Cross and Pointers, Startrails, and much more astrophotography.
