Venus

This gallery contains various photographs of Venus. It's very rare to achieve any surface detail on Venus, so most images simply demonstrate the phases of Venus.
Venus, Moon and Saturn, June 2007
Some images from June 2007 when The Moon, Venus and Saturn appeared close to each other in the western sky during the evening.
Venus (September 2002)
This is a typical image of Venus, showing the featureless clouded surface with the planet in phase.
Venus and The Moon
Venus is often involved in aethetic planetary alignments. A common one is with The Moon, often making quite a nice photo. This is one of those occasions. This print is available for purchase.
Venus and Antares
The cloud wasn't received well by the crowd at this Astro Camp (a twice-a-year event held by ASWA) but I thought it made quite a nice shot, combined with the sunset colours, Antares (to the left of Venus) and Venus (the bright white dot).
