Venus and Perth CBD
This is a panoramic image taken with an XPAN camera I had for the weekend. It shows Venus setting behind Kings Park, the Swan River in the foreground and Perth CBD spreading across the centre of the image to the right. A very nice result. Portable setup at Swan Star Party
The viewing might not have been particularly great this night (see cloud in picture) but it made for an interesting photograph when combined with a long exposure, light polution and my portable telescope setup of the time.

Venus and Antares
The cloud wasn't received well by the crowd at this Astro Camp (a twice-a-year event held by ASWA) but I thought it made quite a nice shot, combined with the sunset colours, Antares (to the left of Venus) and Venus (the bright white dot).

Green Laser and South Celestial Pole
Green lase (which I use for alignment of the AstroTrac) points to the South Celestial Pole in this long exposure.
