Messier 7 (M7)

This is a photograph of M7. This Open Cluster towards the centre of the Milky Way is surrounded by a field of golden stars.

I really quite like this photograph, I have to admit (it's not often I do!).

On the negative, it doesn't have much colour variation and the star colour of brighter stars has been lost. The distortion artifact of the William Optics Field Flattener v3 is also apparent in the corners of the image.

On the up side: I lov the "golden sparkle" that the image has about it, with the stars being so sharp and so golden and white. The thousands of stars visible are just amazing, surrounding the brighter M7 stars.
