Lunar Eclipse: May 2004

This was a total lunar eclipse, producing great rich red images of the moon.
Lunar Eclipse May 04 - 1
This is a full disk image of the moon during the May 2004 total lunar eclipse. The moon turned a brilliant red during totality. Photography of lunar eclipses with film cameras is particularly tricky as the exposure times can vary dramatically and are unpredictable. I look forward to having a digital camera for the next lunar eclipse.

This image is available for purchase as a photographic print up to 10" x 8"
