Unfortunately Perth was largely clouded out. In fact, it was raining for much of the event! And if that wasn't enough, the Moon rose while during the best part of the show (and wasn't visible anyhow!)
But, I did manage to get a photo of where I would have taken great shots of the Lunar Eclipse from, and even one or 2 of the moon its self later in the night! Amazing!
PS - If you would like prints of a Lunar Eclipse, or even a Coffee Mug with a Lunar Eclipse sequence on it, I know a good place you could try. |

Lunar Eclipse: August 2007
This is about as good as it gets for me during he Lunar Eclipse of August 2007!
This photograph of the eclipse was taken through some cloud but no where near as much cloud as what covered the rest of the event! The rain was a wonderful finishing touch too.

Lunar Eclipse: August 2007 - The day prior
To show that it's not all doom and gloom, this is a nice picture of the same "to be" setting from the previous night, with some nice cloud formations, blue sky and blue water.

Lunar Eclipse: August 2007, what was to be
This is what was to be my nice setting for the August 2007 Total Lunar Eclipse. The setting was right, it's just the clouds and rain that were wrong.
The moon would have arced nicely over the Jetty.
Hmm, shame really about the weather.
