This photograph is of a Koala on Kangaroo Island, in South Australia.

If you have ever been to Kangaroo Island you will understand just how many Koala's there are on the island and hence how easy it can be to take photographs of them.

This Koala is holding a joey. Another Koala was calling out nearby attracting the attention of this Koala in this photograph. They may appear sleepy but there is definitely a good sense of awareness hidden in there.
