This image is a close-up of just Orion's belt and sword (the Saucepan for those in the southern hemisphere).

This image is orientated to suit how it appeared on the night of photography here in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Great Orion Nebula (M42) is clearly visible in this image, with some nice detail in the nebulosity considering the large field of view. Star colour has been preserved using a diffuser.
