Comet C/2007 W1 (Boattini) 2008-05-01
A photograph of Comet C/2007 W1 Boattini on the 1st May 2008. Comparing to my earlier images this shows a larger comet, and one with a more circular (less conical) shape.

A quick shot of Comet C/2007 W1 (Boattini) to test what this comet looks like in my camera.

Comet C/2001 Q4
This was a spectacular comet, visible naked eye in 2004. This is probably my best shot of it, with nice colour.

Comet C/2004 Q2 Machholz
Comet C/2004 Q2 Machholz was another great image of 2004/2005. This image shows quite a long tail which I'm very happy with. T3 in the same year is the only I've seen better, and I didn't capture it on film.

Comet C/2004 Q2 with M45
This image shows Machholz (C/2004 Q2) with M45 (Pleiades). There is some nebulosity visible in M45, and the tail of C/2004 Q2 extends well down the image.

Comet C/2004 Q2 with M45
This is another image of comet C/2004 Q2 Machholz with M45 (Pleiades cluster). This image isn't quite as sharp as the other, but clearly shows the comet's tail reaching across in to M45.
It is interesting to compare this image to the other in this gallery from the 5th January. This is rotated differently (90 degrees anti-clockwise) but you can see the movement of the comet against the background of M45 between the two images.

Comet 8P Tuttle, Batch 14
This image is the result of a sum combine on 15 x 60 second images of comet 8P Tuttle.
Unfortunately I didn't realise until after taking the images that there is slight trailing in the comet due to it's motion across the sky.
A nice glow is visible around the core, and a distinct line of what looks to be tail out to the left.
