The Astronomical Society of Western Australia holds a Lunar Night each month of the year. People bring their telescopes along and enjoy a social evening of viewing the moon and other objects.

This gallery shows a few shots from the January 27th 2007 night, where there was only a little viewing of the moon between clouds and lightning bolts. No rain until late when everyone had packed up. A good turnout of people were there, with a good crowd of setups. Myself, I was lazy and only took my fold up chair and camera :-)

Unfortunately most of the lightning shots are out of focus to varying degrees. But I have included them anyway as a record of events, and the best I have of the night.
