This gallery contains images from the 2007 October Astro Camp run by ASWA (in Western Australia).
For me the weekend started off with quite a lot of problems. My Losmandy GM8 was having major motor lag issues due to a knock in transit from home (took me an hour to work that out), and my Canon 350D was having transmission problems to the laptop (later solved by borrowing a USB cable with repeater).
Late on the first night the situation started to improve, with images of the LMC, Milky Way and M45 captured. I am reasonable happy with the M45 and LMC images. Then on the second night I enjoyed hopping between a few objects, with less attention to detail in the images, aiming to simply cover more objects in the night. On that second night I acquired images of NGC 6752, a region near Antares, M31 (Andromeda galaxy) and M8 and M20 (Lagoon and Triffid nebulas).
Both nights were perfectly clear with the second night having better viewing conditions and less dew. All in all another good camp at Dryandra with ASWA.
