Last weekend I had a great time out at an old favorite spot, Kokerbin Rock. It's been some time since we'd been there, seeing as the ASWA Tammin site offers a quite good alternative.
I had a very successful night with the AstroTrac, getting some wide field shots I'm very happy with. And best of all, the night was easy with no equipment problems to speak of. Amazing! See the pictures here. |
Well this isn't my usual kind of blog entry regarding an update to my website, instead it's about a resource that might be of interest to people in Western Australia. I know someone who recently completed construction of this great website that allows you to search for plants which are of assistance to the threatenned Caranaby's Black Cockatoo.. it's here at DEC's website. Basically if you want to plant something in your garden which will help the Carnaby's Black Cockatoo you can put in your criteria (like soil type, type of tree/shrub, rainfall, etc) and it will give you back a list of suitable plants.
